The blue-throated barbet (Psilopogon asiaticus) is an Asian barbet native to the foothills of the Himalayas and Southeast Asia. It inhabits lowland and montane forests at elevations of 200โ2,000 m (660โ6,560 ft).[1]
The species has bright green, blue and red plumage. It is most commonly found in pairs, and nests between March and July. The barbet eats fruits, including guava, and insects.[2]
