Bazedoxifene/conjugated estrogens, sold under the brand name Duavee and Duavive, is a combination medication used to treat symptoms of menopause and osteoporosis after menopause.[1] It is taken by mouth.[3] It should be used short term.[3]
Common side effects include muscle spasms, nausea, diarrhea, heart burn, dizziness, and pain.[1] Other side effects may include blood clots, stroke, and endometrial cancer.[1] It should not be used in pregnancy.[3] It contains bazedoxifene, a selective estrogen receptor modulator, and conjugated estrogens.[4]
The combination was approved for medical use in the United States in 2013 and Europe in 2014.[1][5] In the United States a month of medication costs about 180 USD as of 2022.[6]

Dosage
It is taken as one tablet of 0.45 mg conjugated estrogens and 20 mg bazedoxifene a day.[5]

Recall
In June 2020, Pfizer recalled two batches of Duavive, its oestrogen replacement product, as a result of concerns raised about faulty packaging.[7]
