Elliot Morgan Thorpe (born 9 November 2000) is a professional footballer who plays for EFL League One club Shrewsbury Town on loan from Premier League club Luton Town, as a wing-back and midfielder.[2] He represented Wales at under-21 level.

Club career

Born in Hinchingbrooke,[3] Thorpe began his career with Cambridge United and Tottenham Hotspur.[4]

He signed for Luton Town in September 2021.[5][6] He initially played for Luton's development squad.[7] He made his first-team debut on 5 February 2022, in the FA Cup.[8][9]

On 1 September 2022 he moved on loan to Burton Albion.[10][11][12] Thorpe was recalled by Luton in January 2023.[13]

On 12 July 2023, Thorpe signed for League One club Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan deal.[14]

International career

Thorpe qualifies for Wales through his mother.[4] He has represented Wales at youth levels, starting at under-16 team,[4] and including the under-21 team.[5][15][16]
