Kronoby (Finnish: Kruunupyy, Finnish: [ˈkruːnuˌpyː]) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 6,351 (30 September 2023)[2] and covers an area of 752.65 square kilometres (290.60 sq mi) of which 40.3 km2 (15.6 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 8.91 inhabitants per square kilometre (23.1/sq mi). The municipality is bilingual, with the majority speaking Swedish (76.5%) and the minority Finnish (19.2%).

The neighbouring municipalities of Kronoby are Evijärvi, Kaustinen, Kokkola, Larsmo, Pedersöre and Veteli. The city of Vaasa is located 107 kilometres (66 mi) southwest of Kronoby.

Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport is located in Kronoby.[5]
