The below table gives a list of firearms that can fire the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. This ammunition was developped following World War II as part of the NATO small arms standardization, it is made to replicate the ballistics of a pre-WWII full power rifle cartridge in a more compact package. Not all countries that use weapons chambered in this caliber are in NATO.
